El Paso, Texas — Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, part of HCA Healthcare, announced today that both of its hospitals — Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center — have been recognized on the Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals list for 2026, which recognizes the top 5% of hospitals in the country for clinical excellence. Inclusion on this list recognizes superior performance in providing care for conditions and procedures across multiple specialty lines and areas.
“Being named among the nation’s top hospitals for the fourth year in a row is a reflection of our deep-rooted dedication to quality care,” Alejandro Romero, chief executive officer of Las Palmas Medical Center, said. “We know that receiving safe, high-quality care is what matters most to our patients. We’re proud to be a trusted part of this community and remain focused on delivering care that meets that standard every day.”
Determined exclusively by patient outcomes, the America’s 250 Best Hospital award celebrates the top 5% of hospitals in the country for clinical excellence. To be eligible, a hospital must have evaluations in at least 21 of the 31 Healthgrades procedures and conditions using independent, publicly available Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review (MedPAR) file from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). To determine this year’s list, Healthgrades then evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide.
“At Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, we strive to deliver exceptional care to every patient, every day,” Art Garza, chief executive officer of Del Sol Medical Center, said. “This recognition reflects the relentless effort and compassion our nurses, physicians and staff bring to their work. As always, we’re proud of their unwavering commitment to the El Paso community.”
