For visitors at Del Sol Medical Center

When you or your loved one visit our hospital, we aim to provide the support and resources you need for a positive experience.

Visiting our hospital

We want your visit to be as pleasant as possible. Below, you can find useful information to help you make the most of the time spent here with your loved one.

Information for our visitors

We understand that hospital visits often occur during stressful times, so we are here to answer questions and help in any way we can.

Visitation hours

Regular visiting hours are between 5:00am and 9:00pm. If you are planning to visit in the morning, we suggest calling ahead to make sure your loved one is in their room and that there are no procedures scheduled during your visit.

Visitation restrictions

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

Planning your visit

Visits from relatives and friends play an important part in the recovery process. However, it can sometimes be tiring for a person who is ill. In the best interest of our patients, we suggest visitors limit the length of their stay. A designated family member can assist by coordinating visits for family and friends.

If a loved one is having a surgical procedure at our hospital, you can track their progress by getting text updates sent to your phone.

Visitation policy

To ensure the safety of both you and your loved one, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

  • Never leave children unattended.
  • Limit the number of visitors to two at a time in critical care units, the emergency department and semi-private rooms.
  • No visitors will be allowed in the room during treatments or while a doctor's or nurse's care is in progress.
  • One adult visitor may remain overnight.

Changes in visitation guidelines will be at the discretion of the nursing supervisor or charge nurse. Ultimately, these changes are dependent upon the patient's condition, prevailing circumstances or periods of high levels of respiratory illness or infectious outbreaks in the community.

Guest Wi-Fi

We're pleased to offer free guest Wi-Fi to our patients and visitors.
