Volunteers

At Del Sol Medical Center, we encourage practicing volunteerism by devoting yourself to the welfare of others. Our volunteers are an integral part of our family, and play many vital roles throughout our facility. Volunteers encompass a diverse group, including both college students and retirees, all united by a desire to serve their community by helping others. Positions are available in several different capacities.

Volunteering at a vibrant medical center can make a difference in your life and the lives of others. In this pursuit, you must be prepared for change.

Senior volunteers

To be a senior volunteer, you must meet the following criteria:

• 18 years of age or older
• Optimal good health
• Positive mental attitude and a big smile

Junior volunteers

To qualify as a junior volunteer, you must fulfill the following criteria:

• 14 years to 18 years of age
• Good standing at school
• Possess a great attitude and a big smile

Applications for junior volunteers are accepted from March 15 through May 1 each year to allow for processing prior to summer months. If you are accepted, you will need to pass a background check, drug screening and tuberculosis (TB) skin test, as well as attend mandatory orientation prior to beginning your training.
