Information for our visitors

Here, you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions asked by our visitors.

Visiting hours at our hospital

You may visit anyone at the hospital from 5:00am to 9:00pm daily.

Visitation restrictions

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

Visitation information to consider

Although we want you to visit your loved one, we ask that you limit the length of your stay, because long visits can be tiring for those in the hospital. A family member can assist by coordinating visits for family and friends.

Typically, we schedule the majority of care and treatment for earlier in the day. If you plan to visit in the morning, we suggest that you call ahead to make sure your loved one is in their room, and that there are no planned procedures. No visitors will be allowed in the room when a doctor or nurse is providing care. Visitors may be asked to step outside the room during these times.

Visitation policy

We ask that all visitors carefully review our visitation policy, to ensure you have the best experience possible. Changes made to visitation guidelines will be at the discretion of the nursing supervisor or charge nurse. Factors that may require changes include someone's current condition, prevailing circumstances or periods of high levels of respiratory illness or infectious outbreaks in the community. While here at the hospital, we ask that you please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Do not leave children unattended.
  • Have no more than two visitors at a time in critical care units, the emergency department and semi-private rooms.
  • Limit adult visitors to one for staying overnight.
