We are Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center, and we offer the highest level of stroke care available in El Paso, TX. This includes specialized management of transient ischemic attacks (TIA), acute ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage among other conditions. We also focus on prevention, and have developed an innovative TIA center, which will help patients reduce the risk of stroke after experiencing a TIA.

Our specialized, multidisciplinary team comprised of physicians from emergency medicine, neurology, and neurosurgerycoordinates the comprehensive care of every stroke patient who comes to our facility⎯from the initial contact in the Emergency Department through hospital care and the transition home or, if necessary, to our inpatient rehabilitation facility.

Las Palmas’s Stroke Support Group is a resource for stroke survivors, their family, friends and caregivers. We offer a time for socialization with light snacks, and a short presentation relevant to stroke survivors and family members. It is important for those who have been affected by stroke to have contact with others who understand what it is like to live through a stroke.
