We offer individualized, one-on-one treatments provided by licensed staff to ensure patients reach their maximum level of function.
Physical Therapy: The therapist’s goal is building strength and endurance. This includes walking, standing and sitting, and may also involve the use of assistive devices such as canes or wheelchairs.
Occupational Therapy: Therapists focus on the activities of daily living (ADLs); abilities that many of us take for granted such as washing ourselves, grooming, dressing cooking and eating. The goal of occupational therapy is to increase the individual’s independence in performing these tasks.
Speech Language Therapy: Therapists assist patients who may have trouble communicating as a result of stroke, head injury or other neurological processes. They also diagnose and treat dysphasia (difficulty swallowing), which if untreated can result in aspiration of food into the lungs resulting in pneumonia or death.
Recreational Therapy: Therapists assist in helping patients once again enjoy leisure activities through programs based on their interests and abilities.
Rehabilitation Nursing: Nurses play a wider role than just providing medical care. They support the patient and family with education regarding the disease process and condition, as well as offering instruction in many other areas to help the patient transition to greater independence.
